The Facility Infection Control Work Order provided nurses and nurse supervisors to review infection control guidance, identify, and mitigate identified gaps, and provide on-going training and technical assistance to Long Term Care Facilities
LTCFs in Minnesota. The nurses also assessed and evaluated COVID-19 prevention practices in other congregate care settings such as assisted living, licensed home care, and group homes. Nursing supervisors worked with and oversaw the work of the nurses. Project managers worked with long term care facilities to bring potential new employees in to experience the environment to aid in the building of a workforce as permanent facility staffing is difficult to find.
