Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Phase IX of the RIM Camp Ripley Sentinel Landscape ACUB Partnership utilizes permanent conservation easements to acquire high-quality habitat along the Crow Wing, Long Prairie, Gull, Nokasippi, and Mississippi River corridors and lake watersheds. Approximately 9 easements will be secured within the project area. BWSR uses the RIM easement process in partnership with the Morrison Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to secure habitat corridor easements on sites within Crow Wing, Cass, and Morrison counties during the appropriation term. This contract is to Morrison SWCD to complete local implementation of the partnership.

Evaluate the contractor's timeliness Morrison SWCD met the contract’s Objectives within the contract timeline and prior to the appropriation’s spending deadline. They prepared and submitted conservation easement application packages, obtained acceptable title insurance commitments, and fully executed and recorded the conservation easements on a timeline that permitted BWSR to complete work before the appropriation’s spending deadline.

Evaluate the contractor's quality Morrison SWCD worked well with landowners interested in conservation easements, as well as with our Federal, State, and Local partners. SWCD staff responded in a timely manner to BWSR requests and they submitted required easement acquisition forms in good order.

Evaluate the contractor's cost Morrison SWCD’s invoices followed the expected budget, which is based on the number of conservation easements and/or habitat acres acquired via their work.

Evaluate the contractor's overall performance The SWCD staff are trained and experienced and produce numerous high-quality conservation easements in their work area.
