Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The agency has determined that the UMN CCPS is the sole source for the required PM training courses, which are necessary for
PMs to obtain certification. CCPS offers a range of short courses and, in partnership with the College, will coordinate and deliver
training.
The College also coordinates the Project Management Forum (PMF) and Management Conference (MC), focused on developing
essential PM skills. These events will be held in Fall 2024 at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN. Training will be scheduled by
mutual agreement between the State and the College.

If this was a single source contract, explain why the agency determined there was only a single source for the services (if applicable) Minnesota State Inver Hills Community College (IHCC) is the sole contractor responsible for coordinating the Stateâ??s project
management (PM) training program. In partnership with the University of Minnesota (UMN) College of Continuing and
Professional Studies (CCPS), IHCC delivers the required PM courses that support certification for State project managers. These
courses are not available through any other vendor in a format that meets the Stateâ??s curriculum and certification standards.
IHCC also exclusively coordinates the Project Management Forum (PMF) and Management Conference (MC), which are critical
components of the Stateâ??s PM training strategy. These events provide targeted professional development aligned with
evolving project management needs across State agencies.
