Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: In recent years, the Minnesota Department of Health was funded to provide services to babies born with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS). This is new work for the MDH to deliver, so there was a need to assess the current knowledge, beliefs, and resources available to families of babies with NAS. This environmental scan will help the MDH to inform the development of the work and assess the gaps that need the most immediate attention first.
