The goal of this project was to create a marketing plan, develop content, and advertise to Minnesotans opportunities available for careers in weatherization, working closely with Weatherization Assistance Program Service Providers. An additional goal was the creation of easily adaptable materials to support outreach around workforce for Service Providers across the state. Despite numerous challenges with changes to the original timeline, Mod + Co communicated well, responded thoroughly to requested changes, and turned around materials for the campaign for review efficiently. Commerce staff were impressed at the professionalism displayed by Mod + Co staff during unprecedented changes to the timeline.
Mod + Co had a wildly successful ad campaign run, showcasing their high-quality work. The campaign had over a million impressions, and reached communities across Minnesota as intended.
The contractor’s cost was reasonable, and the contractor completed the project after entirely spending down their labor line items. Their dedication to get the job done right shined brightly.
Overall, the work of Mod + Co was worth the investment. I would not recommend using internal videography and photos as we did for this project. The complexity of having internal resources already pressed for time provide those necessities without as much insight into the final product of the ads made for the biggest challenge on this project. Mod + Co did a great job with turning around those resources. Staff at Mod + Co did have some challenges with regular invoicing, and internal staff at Commerce spent significant time going back and forth for clarification on invoicing. This would be a recommended area for the vendor to improve.
