Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: WCEC will conduct sub-slab vapor and supplemental groundwater assessment activities and oversee the installation of up to 2 monitoring wells. The scope includes Vapor Intrusion Assessments at up to 8 residences, oversee the installation of vapor mitigation systems at up to 3 single-family residences, post-mitigation sampling, groundwater investigation and sampling, and reporting. WCEC will oversee all contracted work conducted by the laboratory, environmental drillers, vapor mitigation system installers, and contractors involved in the hauling and disposal of investigation-derived wastes. The purpose of the work is to further define the extent and magnitude of soil vapor and groundwater impacts associated with the Site. WCEC will perform all services and/or construction as per the purchasing manual.

Evaluate the contractor's overall performance very satisfied - WCEC did an incredible job this fiscal year and I am very pleased with all that was accomplished. Their work included completing soil vapor and indoor air assessments at 8 properties (multiple rounds of sampling), installing 2 new monitoring wells and sampling the entire network, mitigating 3 residential properties, and completing associated post-mitigation sampling. All of this was accomplished in an extremely condensed project timeline of ~6 months. Greg, Steve, and Gabrielle worked incredibly hard to coordinate all the work and execute the work in this time frame. Their dialogue with residents and contractors was professional and courteous. I look forward to picking up where we’ve left off and working with them next fiscal year.
My only ask for FY26 is to be ‘kept in the loop’ as much as possible (and a little more than this FY).
