• A certified property boundary survey requiring research of legal descriptions and boundary markers (ALTA Survey).
• Conduct a space utilization study to assist in the design and distribution of spaces. As a result of the study, it is anticipate that a 1000 – 2000 square foot addition will be constructed to meet the area shortfall of the building.
• Repair site to correct drainage problems around the military motor vehicle storage parking lot.
• Upgrade the existing building to meet new building & life safety code regulations.
• Install a fire sprinkler system throughout the building.
• Install a new fire alarm system and emergency lighting throughout the building.
• Upgrade the building to provide handicapped accessibility to meet the current building code.
• Upgrade and expand both the male and female toilet/locker room areas.
• Renovation of the office area.
• Construct a new arms vault, of approximately 220 SF, within the existing building to include electronic security.
• Replace the existing boiler and distribution system (steam) to a duel fuel hot water system, removal of the existing underground fuel oil tanks and add a new propane backup system. In fill old steam pit.
• Repair of oil/water separator in training bay.
• Install a new ventilation system for the building, including air conditioning for certain areas.
• Install a Direct Digital Controls (DDC) system for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems of the building.
• Install new electrical service, generator transfer switch, power distribution, interior and exterior lighting and voice/data throughout the building. Provide closet for communications hardware.
• Replacement of interior and exterior doors, door frames (if required) and door hardware.
• Install constant pressure operators at the overhead doors.
• Replacement of accordion style classroom partitions.
• New ceilings throughout the building.
• Install new window blinds.
• New metal caging and shelving for unit storage.
• Repainting of the interior of the building.
• Replacement of various floor finishes.
• New public address system and sound attenuation materials installed in the drill hall.
• Exterior masonry repair, infill of old wall air conditioner units and relief louvers, tuckpointing and reseal the existing exterior masonry.
• Various other upgrades and modifications to the building, as required.
Military Affairs does not have in-house staff to accomplish the necessary architectural-engineering work.
