{Empty}
Purpose:
1. Examine write, and run SQL queries to DEED’s Unemployment Insurance database which is a DB2 Database Management System. The queries perform data fixes and edits to the DB2 database.
2. Work closely with Unemployment Insurance Analysts & existing DBA to insure queries are run correctly with intended objective
3.Complete reports assigned in Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
4.Utilize SQL Services Integration Services (SSIS) when necessary to manipulate data.
5. Perform Business Analyst function, meeting with clients to determine specifications for SSRS Reports
6. Utilize Team Foundation Serivces (TFS for storage of code and technical documentation.
7. Perform any maintenance work assigned relative to Database administration or Database Migration

Why it was necessary:

The contract was necessary because our DBA’ had other higher priority work to do involving greater levels of complexity and high skill sets that needed for this work.

We also needed several reports developed by a skilled SQL Reporting Services developer. We did not have a sufficiently skilled Developer available.

In this case the contractor hired was a .NET developer with experience with both UI’s DB2 database and familiarity and experience with SQL Server Reporting Services. The charge was $55 hour meaning we delivered a high quality product in a timely fashion at a lower cost than we would have charged the customer for internal development.

The Contractor's employee was Sowjanya Nimmigadda. Her work was always completed on time and contractor was always punctual.
Very high quality work, exceeded expectations.The Contractor's employee was Sowjanya Nimmigadda. I would highly recommend her.
At $55 per hour work was done for less than we normally would have charged our divisions. Very good value. Due to State strike we spent less than the original contract anticipated. Contract anticipated 1040 hrs of work, costing $57,200. Instead 892 hours of billable time occured and we spent $49,060.
Excellent. Very Satisfied.The Contractor's employee was Sowjanya Nimmigadda. I would highly recommend her.
