A long-range multimodal vision will help MnDOT balance the many purposes and benefits of transportation investments and programs within the context of the broad variety of issues and priorities currently facing the agency. The contract helped MnDOT:
1. Establish a vision statement
2. Affirm existing principles and/or develop new principles for long-range strategies
3. Highlight potential policies and strategies to be considered in the next Statewide Multimodal Plan
4. Document public input on a range of issues affecting and affected by transportation in Minnesota
