i. The goal is to implement an Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and develop the models to maintain an EA.
ii. In addition, the goal of the project is to update the current technical architecture and implement a process and tool to keep it up to date through the departments change management process.
iii. The scope of the project includes technology in production managed or administrated by OI&TS.
iv. Provide facilitation, architecture, and modeling support for EA Framework to model Mn/DOT’s Business, Application, Data, and Technology Domains. Resources are required to support modeling such as:
1. Detailed information flow for each external customer to agency division, office, or unit
2. Create a roadmap of strategic, technology, and system initiatives
v. Create Architecture Diagrams for Strategic initiatives and projects, assess IT services for each project, and assess maturity, life-cycle, and technical condition of impacted IT services and products
vi. Work with agency Chief Architect and IT architects to document the data requirements and definitions for technology standards, including roles to maintain the technology or IT component. Integrate data source with the Configuration Management Database.
vii. Design reporting requirements, including reports to assess the non-standard technologies and technology life-cycle and identify stakeholders that require access to information, identify requirements, and recommend methods to publish or provide access to information.
viii. Review and recommend changes and best practices to the process for how technology becomes part of the architecture and the exception process
ix. Provide informal training and skills transfer to Mn/DOT staff
x. Report all work plans and completed requirements to the Mn/DOT Project Manager
xi. Work Location will be onsite at Mn/DOT’s Central Office location in St. Paul, MN
