Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Drilling
1071
MnDOT plans to reconstruct the TH 36 and CSAH 66 (Greeley Ave/Oakgreen Ave) intersection. The project includes construction of the new intersection, roadway reconstruction and frontage road construction from approximately just west of Northwestern Ave to just east of Tuenge Drive, roadway work on CSAH 66, storm water ponds, utilities, etc. The purpose of this contract was to complete a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and a Phase II investigation of any suspect areas in the project area. The intent of this work was to identify to the extent possible any sources of contamination in the project corridor that could impact the project, and to identify the presence, magnitude and extent of contaminated soil and/or groundwater in the project area. This information was used by MnDOT to determine final project design plans and specifications.
