Conservation of Agricultural Lands: Telling our St
{Empty}
Cascade Meadow Wetlands and Science Center (where exhibit is on display) presents the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) with a great opportunity to engage more people in discussions about conservation on agricultural land. An agriculturally focused, interactive exhibit will teach people about current conservation practices and hopefully spark an interest in agricultural issues (exhibit includes a simulation game and a conservation quiz game). This exhibit highlights information about current conservation practices as well as emerging technologies that provide new conservation opportunities. The goal is to educate the general public and stakeholders on real world, current issues dealing with protection of water resources and create a tool that will encourage and support dialogue on issues and their solutions.

Timeliness was not OmniMedia's strongest asset. They always provided materials that were promised but the delivery of those products did not match the original timeline. Some of that was due to the amount of information that was collected (including a lot of initial research and meetings, more than expected), but there were a few instances where I believe they could have been more timely. Specifically, the delivery of the Beta- version of our "ag-conservation video games". The original timeline was probably too ambitious, but I thought that as the industry expert, OmniMedia should have brought that to our attention.
OmniMedia Group is a very professional company, they provide high quality work and great products. They have a very creative design team that really produced an exceptional final product.
Great, we really got an exceptional product for the amount of money we spent. OmniMedia is cost competitive and very cost effective.
I had a positive experience working with OmniMedia. They relied on MDA for all the technical information and I felt like we did much of the research for the exhibit, however they were invaluable when it came to software development, fabrication of the exhibit and how to target our message to our intended audience (7-8th graders). They were responsive to our feedback and helpful at every stage of development. Overall it was a very good experience and a project that MDA could not have completed without the expertise of the OmniMedia team.
