Todd County Surface Water Assessment within the SR
CR3320
A portion of the Sauk River Watershed District (SRWD) is located in the southern half of Todd County. The Todd County portion of the SRWD has a signficant number of lakes and streams. Within the last 15 years the SRWD has conducted water quality assessments on the larger recreational development lakes, such as Osakis Lake and Sauk Lake and their tributaries. However, numerous smaller lakes and streams in this area have little or no water quality data to determine impairment status. Very few, if any, of these water bodies have active citizen groups that can conduct the water quality assessment needed to fullfill the data deficiencies. The SRWD, with assistance from local volunteers, will conduct water quality assessments on William Lake, Long Lake, Cedar Lake, Bass Lake. Felix Lake, Little Osakis Lake and Trout Creek to attain the necessary data to determine impairment status.
