Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of this consultant contract was to provide final plans, special provisions and associated tasks for a pavement restoration project on T.H. 12 from west of County Road 83 to Boundary Avenue in Maple Plain.

This was a Governor’s initiative Better Roads Project.

A contract was necessary because MnDOT was unable to perform the work when needed because of internal staff limitations and the short time frame to deliver the project to letting.
