Contractor proivded timley SQL DBA Services for the Department maintaing data used by Unemployment Insurance, State Service for the blind, Labor Market Information, Work Force Development and Business and Community Development.
The quality of the work was very good. Not only did the contractors perform day to day SQL Server DBA Administration work but they also looked at some of our overall SQL Database practices and made improvements to our systems, leaving our SQL Server database environment better than when they came.
This contractor provided DBA services at a relatively low rate as part of the ASAP-IT contract. Hourly rate was $84-(Oct-June) & $86 hr (July-Sept).
I was very satisfied with the quality of work. Due to the duration of the contract we ended up using two different indifividuals (Brahma Veeramasu and Venkata Vadapalli). Both were excellent, quick learners and very skilled in administering Microsoft SQL Server. I would recommend both individuals highly.
Yes
No negative events. Due to the duration of the contract and a more permenant job opportunity that the first DBA had, we had to change DBA's going from Venkata Vadapalli to Brahma Veeramaus during the course of the project. While this caused some stress both individuals were excellent DBA's.
5 - very satisfied
