Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: MnDOT’s strategic vision seeks to “promote a results oriented work environment that supports flexible work scheduled and telecommuting.” It further seeks to become “an employer of choice for Minnesota’s diverse population.” The private sector experience in this pursuit is vital to the achievement of these programs in MnDOT. Participating in a national study and a pilot program will help develop a model for flexibility throughout the agency. This will help in the achievement of the goals. This was a unique opportunity to participate alongside the private sector.
