Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of the contract was to have the Consultant identify various agencies, both within the U.S. and Canada, that will need to be coordinated with and consulted regarding the reconstruction of the international crossing at Baudette, MN. They were asked to identify agencies, provide contact information, and summarize the role each agency would take throughout the stages of the project.
It was necessary to enter into a contract because the District and the Bridge Office did not have adequate staff to complete the task in the desired timeframe.
