Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: MnDOT refinement and development of CSS-related training workshops and webinars for deployment in FY13 through contracted services with the CTS team that has developed, deployed and documented recent MnDOT CSS-related workshops, webinars and forums in order to continue building upon their skills, successes, experiences, observations and lessons learned. The FY13 scope of work included two 2.5-day Advanced Flexibility in Design Workshops, two 2-hour CSS Integrations Webinars, a new 2-day “pilot” Complete Streets Workshop in a project setting and website updating. While MnDOT has staff capability and availability to assist a contractor to reduce costs, lack of MnDOT resources (staff, expertise, available time) necessitated the need for contracted services.
