Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The State contracted with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (fka Bonestroo, Inc.) to provide a professional, technical assistance for the design review and verification services for the Elk Run Interchange Design-Build Project on US Highway 52 in Oronoco, Minnesota. The project area is bordered by the junction of 210th Avenue NW in Pine Island Township, Goodhue County on the north and the junction of 59th Avenue NW in the City of Oronoco, Olmsted County on the south. The total length of the project is approximately 4.0 miles. Project elements include the Elk Run Interchange and frontage roads (both east and west) connecting the Elk Run Interchange to 210th Avenue NW, the existing frontage roads at 59th Avenue NW, and other local roads. The Project elements also include the realignment of County State-Aid Highway (CSAH) 12 in Olmsted County from 125th Street NW on the west to the existing CSAH 12 on the east.
