These inspections verified that fabrication methods and materials conformed to MnDOT plans, specifications, and policies. MnDOT has a limited number of fabrication inspection personnel, and could not perform all shop inspections during peak fabrication periods, so Contractor’s staff was sought to augment MnDOT’s fabrication inspections personnel.
