BARCODE MNDOT CONSUMABLE INVENTORY WITHIN SWIFT
2997
The State’s consumable inventory consists of more than 30,000 different items stored in as many as 200 locations strategically placed throughout the state. Prior to the implementation of SWIFT, the State used an agency specific application called SAMMS to manage this consumable inventory. That application supported the use of bar code to reduce the need for hand entered data. The State has completed phase 1 of the SWIFT implementation and is partially through Phase 2 which includes substantial inventory and purchasing modifications but does not include and agency specific consumable inventory functionality. The services under this contract are to complete the implementation of the agency specific functionality, which in this case is the bar code capability.
