There was no one else with both forensic bloodstain pattern analysis and extensive High Speed Digital Video experience. Dr. Michael Taylor from the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Research (ESR) is the only experienced bloodstain pattern analysis who has extensive experience in High Speed Digital Video of blood dynamics. ESR and their employee, Dr. Taylor, were the only entity and individual approved by the federal grant award to work on this project with the BCA. The selection and awarding of this fedeal grant was based on the merits that it had for advancing forensic science and qualifications of the applicants which included the BCA obtaining ESR's Dr. Taylor's services for working on this project.
