Relative Source Contribution Project, Phase II
{Empty}
MDH entered into this contract because it was determined that staff did not have the workload capacity to directly manage this project. The purpose of the contract was for Versar, Inc. to test the adequacy of exposure modes and to develop relative source contribution factors. the product of this project is an evaluation of these exposure models for quantifying dermal, inhalation, and non-water oral exposures to chemicals of concern and the development of relative source contribution factors for these exposures. This work is an assessment for MDH of the appropriateness of relative source contribution factors for quantifying exposure potential for contaminants of concern.

The contractor fell short of expectations for timely completion of tasks. On several occasions the contractor indicated that they were unable to complete a task on time because of other work commitments.
The contractor adequately met the contract objectives by establishing a set of preferred models for Relative Source Contribution (RSC) evaluation, developing model inputs, developing procedures for modeling the RSC, and applying these procedures to six test cases. The contractor also came to MDH to present the RSC procedures and conduct a seminar on the operation of the key models.
The contractor stayed within budget, coming in just under budget with the final invoice.
The time delays notwithstanding, the contractor met the expectations set forth in the contract agreement with the final product (150 - page final report and model input files).
