Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of this Contract was to provide assistance to the State in properly dealing with problems associated with contaminated soil, contaminated groundwater, petroleum storage tanks or solid or hazardous waste materials affecting the State’s maintenance operations as determined by the State’s Project Manager. In these situations, rapid response in dealing with the contamination problem was necessary to avoid interruptions in maintenance operations, and to avoid potential negative impacts to the public or the environment.
