Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: State plans to reconstruct TH 55 from approximately TH 149 S to TH 149 N, and TH 149 from approximately TH 55 to Mendota Heights Road. This work includes adding storm water ponds, turn lanes, making traffic and signal improvements, etc. A multi-use trail may also be added. Work will be completed on State and private property (to be acquired). The purpose of this contract is to complete a Limited Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Phase II Investigation. The Phase II Investigation will be based on the results of the Phase I, including suspect areas in the current project area. This information will be used by State to determine final project design plans/specifications and to obtain liability protections.
