Evaluate the contractor's overall performance Shravan was very competent in his .Net development skills and understanding the application requirements. He often went above and beyond to complete the development work to keep the project on track. However, I found him to be “The Know-IT-All Expert” He was self-reliant but also bull headed and impatient with differing opinions and individuals not at the same level of expertise with .Net.
He wrote efficient code however by not following the standards there is huge learning curve for the internal staff and potential concerns for support once his contract ended.
His role was not only development work but to train internal staff to support the application long term.
This was something new for him which he did give a valiant attempt to accomplish. The project ended up not having the time and funding to take this objective to fruition.
I had extended his contract to complete the project however, due to personal issues that conflicted with the project his new contracted end abruptly.
Even with his strong development skills I found the drama he brought to the project disruptive to the team dynamics.
