Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of this contract/study was the development of concepts for intersection improvements for TH 36 at the intersections of TH 120 (Century Avenue) and Hadley Avenue/County State Aid Highway 35 (CSAH 35), west of Interstate 694 (I-694). The scope of this study included evaluation of alternative intersection designs, interchange designs, concept level layouts for selected concepts, a preliminary layout of preferred concept, coordination with State, businesses, residents, City and County staff/officials.

Current workload for in-house staff was such that there was no available capacity to take this project on. Significant outreach to the four local units of government placed strong constraints on staff availability.
