State plans to reconstruct an approximate 1.2 mile corridor of TH 100 in St. Louis Park, beginning at West 36th Street and extending north to West 26th Street. The proposed TH 100 construction activities are anticipated to include: bridge replacements, construction of auxiliary lanes, ramps, and drainage infrastructure (e.g. ponds). The project will include the purchase of new right of way. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I) was previously completed along the proposed corridor in 2008. The purpose of this contract was to complete a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Update and Drilling Investigation based on the results of the Phase I Update focusing on identified suspect areas. This information will be used by State to determine final project design plans/specifications and to obtain liability protections.
