TRS - Automated Speed Enforcement
1049436
The purpose of this contract was to provide a summary of current research on the effectiveness of Speed Safety Cameras (SSC),
also referred to as Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE), for reducing vehicle speeds and the severity and frequency of crashes.
This was investigated generally and specifically for school zones and work zones.
It was necessary to enter into a contract due to limitations in MnDOT staff availability and time for this work as well as the
need for outside input and expertise to conduct this research.

Great timeliness. The project was completed slightly ahead of time to align with Legislative sessions that may have been
relevant to the findings from the TRS.
Great quality.
The project was completed within budget. Can't ask for much more than that.
