Grant description and purpose: STATE, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 256.01, subdivision 2(a)(6), has authority to enter into contracts for the following services: To connect Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants to appropriate skill development, training programs, and career pathways, and to develop marketable and in-demand skills for SNAP participants that will lead to career advancement and self-sufficiency.
STATE is in need of SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) activities and support services through Third-Party Match Providers aimed at helping SNAP participants gain the essential skills needed for gainful employment and to successfully transition off public assistance.
STATE, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 13.46, is permitted to share information with GRANTEE.
Minnesota Statutes, section 13.46, subdivision 1(c) and subdivision 2(a)(5), allows STATE to enter into agreements to make organizations part of the “welfare system.” It is the intention that GRANTEE be made part of the welfare system for the limited purpose described in this CONTRACT.
In performance of this CONTRACT, GRANTEE may require private data on individuals collected by STATE to verify an individual’s identity and determine eligibility, amount of assistance, and the need to provide services to an individual or family within SNAP.
The privacy and security of any protected information shared between the Parties will be governed by the “Data Sharing Agreement Terms and Conditions”, which is attached and incorporated into this CONTRACT as Attachment C, pursuant to Clause 10.
GRANTEE represents that it is duly qualified and willing to perform the services set forth in this CONTRACT to the satisfaction of STATE.
