According to epidemiologic data and grantee location, we were able to determine which communities need promoting healthy youth development, to delay the onset of sexual activity in younger youth. To reach our targeted audience, it is important to display the messages throughout public spaces and in places that many people can see. We chose to advertise our evidence-informed programs that educate youth ages 12-19 in Metro Transit garages & bus/light rail lines. Intersection provided a price quote that met our budget and covered these advertising needs. This type of partnership addresses the need to reach a broad audience. Additionally, COVID-19 precautions have made physical advertisements more challenging. Due to the presence of advertisements not only inside buses and light rail trains, but on the outside of buses and at public platforms/stations, there’s a possibility to get prevention messages physically in front of groups of people. Intersection is the sole source provider for advertising with Metro Transit.
