Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: 1. Update the 1995 customized State of MN Hay Guide charts so that they include the current terminology and cost indexes that Hay Group is using. Provide 200 copies of new charts.
2. Conduct training; provide guidance and best practices for HR staff on the Hay Group method of job evaluation using new guide charts customized for the State of MN so that upon completion, participants are qualified to use the Hay method to rate jobs accurately.
3. Assess up to 10 existing Hay ratings to ensure that Hay points are appropriately assigned to job classifications.
4. Create a Hay profile for up to 5 newly created positions.

They guide charts the State of MN currently uses were customized by Hay Group in 1995. No one in the State has legal access to their updated information.

Evaluate the contractor's overall performance Hay Group's performance was very good. Their consultant, Cheryl Mikuls provided a detailed review of the proposed changes to our guide charts and worked quickly with their printing staff to create and send 200 revised charts to MMB in time for the scheduled training. Cheryl Mikuls did the training and got good reviews from participants. The quality assurance review ratings she provided were well done and were done on time.
