Workforce One Rewrite
{Empty}
Due to changes in technology, Workforce One, a case management system used to track over 100,000 participants in state and federally funded employment and training programs at any given time, had to be re-written as a .NET application. The state needed a .NET architect to assist DEED architects in designing and implementing this solution. Specific responsibilities included the following: Gather high level business requirements for the system, determine and document gaps in the current database and system, make recommendations for database, application and architecture design, establish and document a process for moving business requirements to technical specifications, establish and document an efficient software lifecycle management process, collaborate with and mentor DEED architect/developers/database analyst and business analysts throughout engagement. This expertise did not exist in other state employees' skills sets.

Dave is always on time, very organized and consistently follows through with all commitments he makes to the team.
Dave's work is of the highest quality. He has extremely high standards for himself and it shows in the work that he produced for this project. The features that he developed involve the most robust and complex functionality in the system, and yet they are user-friendly and were nearly flawless by the time they reached testing.
The cost was acceptable considering the quality of output.
Dave's overall performance was excellent. His knowledge, expertise and ability to identify and implement best practices have been absolutely vital to this project. Dave has pushed the team to set high expectations for work output and rigorous standards for communication and accountability. While pushing for high standards, he also maintained a positive relationship with the team and is well respected by those with whom he works closely. I would highly recommend Dave for future contract work in the department.
