Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of this project was to conduct a Road Safety Audit Review (RSAR) of Trunk Highway 8 from Interstate 35 to the Minnesota/Wisconsin border

The final product of this project is a detailed Road Safety Audit Report (RSAR) with findings and recommendations.

This contract was necessary to advance the statewide Towards Zero Deaths initiative currently underway in cooperation with the Department of Public Safety. It was reasonable to enter into this agreement in order to receive an outside, unbiased report on the conditions and hazards of the identified roadway section.
