Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The intent of this contract is to complete a limited Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I) of the project area to identify to the extent possible any sources of contamination (based on present or former land use) on properties that could impact the TH 60 project corridor, and to complete a drilling investigation of the suspect areas to identify the presence, magnitude, and extent of contaminated soil and/or groundwater in the project corridor. The information obtained from the Phase I update and this drilling investigation will be used by State to determine final project design plans and specifications.
