Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: State plans to reconstruct TH 10 from Airport Road to TH 10/59 Intersection (Reconstruction and Frontage Road) and TH 59 from TH 10 to Holmes Street (Frontage Road and New Bridge), in Detroit Lakes. Construction improvements include grading, surfacing, and bridge work, reconstruction of utilities and storm water ponds. The project will also include the purchase of new right of way. State plans to complete early acquisition on at least one (1) parcel within the project area. The purpose of this contract is to complete a Phase II Drilling Investigation on any suspect areas within the current project limits. This information will be used by State to determine final project design plans/specifications and to obtain liability protections.
