Extensive research has been completed and many tools exist to assist local agencies preserve their pavements, however finding the right resource that applies to a specific pavement issue can be a challenge. Often the research findings are specific to the climate and environmental conditions that exist at the test site and may not apply in Minnesota. Many local engineers do not have the time and resources to do the necessary research to determine how to preserve their pavements. The purpose of this study is to:
• Determine, via a local survey, the needs of Minnesota local agencies with respect to a pavement preservation resource center.
• Determine, via a national survey, what other states have done to create a pavement preservation resource center and their lessons learned.
• Determine, via interviews, how agencies (CTS, LTAP and TERRA) that manage pavement related data can support each other.
