Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: This testing is being conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of AECOM's DE-FLUORO System in achieving full mineralization of concentrated PFAS waste produced by the OPEC System. A highly concentrated sample of PFAS wastewater from a full-scale OPEC system will be sent by OPEC for bench scale testing by AECOM. The concentrated sample will be obtained by OPEC and shipped to AECOM's treatability lab located in Austin, Texas for processing by AECOM's DE-FLUORO system. The concentrated PFAS sample will be placed into the DE-FLUORO system's reaction chamber where it will come into contact with a proprietary electrode that mineralizes PFAS in solution. Samples will be collected throughout the testing to evaluate effectiveness.

The expected run time of the test is a total of approximately 120 hours over the course of 12 to 15 days.

AECOM will prepare a Bench Scale Testing Summary Report that includes the following:
Water collection and shipping activities
Pre- and post-bench scale test analytical results
SAFF bench scale results using data obtained in FY21
AECOM DE-FLUORO results
Recommendations for further testing or implementation activities
