Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Contractor will plan, oversee, and report on the installation of up to 9 groundwater monitoring wells at the Korf Brothers closed landfill site (SW-19). Prior to well installation, contractor will also oversee vertical aquifer profiling at up to nine locations include lab analysis of up 55 samples. After well installation, the contractor will collect groundwater elevation and up to 28 ground water samples from 21 locations. The contractor will complete well siting and access coordination as well as hiring and oversight of drilling subcontractor and will complete well development. Contractor will follow the state purchasing manual and all guidelines. After completion of the sample collection, contractor will deliver water samples to MDH lab for analysis. Cost of MDH analysis is not covered by this work order as the MPCA will contract directly to MDH.
