Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The vendor agreed to provide statewide access to the ParaPro Assessment and ParaEducator Online assessments to Minnesota paraprofessionals who needed these assessments for their career advancement. The state dollars (which were part of COVID relief funds under the federal American Rescue Plan) used in our contract were designed to make these assessments free of charge for the test takers. JPAs were established with Minnesota testing sites, most of which committed to serve their own region. Metro ECSU agreed to serve their region as well as be a backstop for the entire state.
