If this was a single source contract, explain why the agency determined there was only a single source for the services (if applicable) The Lead Inspector and Project Supervisor have quoted between four to six additional weeks of construction activities in the
project due to numerous unexpected contamination management & unexpected utility challenges, including Saturday work. The
original scope for 400 hours of regular time and 40 hours of over time field oversight needs to be increased to 800 hours of
regular time field oversight and 150 hours of overtime. The reporting and project management hours were increased
proportionally to support oversight of contamination areas and complexity of the project’s actual progression. The single source
use of Braun was critical because we could not afford any delay in construction monitoring support.
