To inform, educate and raise the awareness of the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center, particularly among Black American and East African immigrant Americans. It was necessary as immigrant communities are particularly reluctant to engage with government on almost any level, and their reporting is disproportionately lower than other demographic groups.

The contractor was timely and responsive. At times during the contract their progress seemed to slow down, but then would substantially pick-up.
I think this contractor was good, and made earnest efforts. At times it felt like there was a cultural divide about how to convey the message about reporting the abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults to Spanish speaking and Somali communities. The American concept of adult protection of vulnerable people is foreign to new immigrants from Mexico or East Africa, so the message had to be extremely simple and basic.
The cost seemed appropriate for the serivices provided.
Overall, I think this contractor has good access and insights into the Somali and Spanish speaking community. At times, they seemed to be so new to this sort of work that they required more direction than I may have expected to provide.
