Culturally specific public service announcements about Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare renewals
{Empty}
The Minnesota Department of Human Services partnered with TPT to create 50 videos (including 15- and 30-second lengths) and finished graphics for eight communities: African American, Native American, Spanish-speaking, Hmong, Somali, Vietnamese, Russian and American Sign Language. The messages focus on the importance of preparing for Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare renewals, checking your mail for renewal forms, and returning the completed forms. At a critical time in the renewal process, these messages will help raise awareness in communities that already experience drastic health disparities, are overrepresented in public health care programs and are at risk of losing coverage.

TPT is the only Twin Cities public television service. TPT also had the capacity to produce content in six languages with community review of the content during production. With significant experience doing similar work for the Minnesota Department of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, TPT had the capacity to produce the culturally specific videos and graphics DHS was seeking within a short timeframe.

On time. TPT created the videos and graphics in just over two months, which was very fast for a project of this scope and complexity.
High. The finished videos and graphics are clear and of high quality.
Good value. The finished products will remain relevant for several years.
Very good. TPT was open to collaboration, incorporated feedback, and remained available and responsive. The contract was written to allow for collaboration and co-creation of the videos and graphics.
