Opt in/Opt out Text Automation
{Empty}
The purpose of the contract was to integrate the AWS Pinpoint System to our Maxis eligibility system. This allowed us to come in to compliance with the self-managed opt-out/in approach to mass text messaging and provide better service to our customers. The contact was necessary because MNIT did not have the internal experience to integrate the Pinpoint system to MAXIS.

Federally funded ARPA money.

We were provided an exemption to use a sole source contact because of the timeline of the federal funding we were using. In addition, we had already done a lot of preemptive work with AWS on Pinpoint and the timeline did not provide use time to change contactors.

The contract took a very long time to get signed, which delayed the AWS team from beginning work. This caused a 6.5-month delay for the MNIT team. After the contract was signed, we had no issues with timeliness.
The quality of the contractor's knowledge, professionalism and ability to adapt was second to none. We had internal conversation with DHS staff and MNIT staff and came to the conclusion that AWS Professional Services are elite.
The cost was in the realm of the industry standard.
We felt lucky to have worked with AWS Professional Services. The staff was engaged and informative. We met our goals on time and on budget.
