The State is in need of the development of a model K-12 teacher registered apprenticeship standard. to ensure the development of K-12 teacher registered apprenticeship programs (RAPS) is standardized. A subject matter expert will, among other duties, facilitate a statewide K-12 teacher RAP development workgroup. The workgroup will include stakeholders from MDE, the MN professional Educators Licensing and Standards Board and the state labor organization for educators, Education Minnesota, postsecondary education program providers, and teachers and administrators representing school districts around the state.
