To reach our targeted audience, it is important to display the messages throughout public spaces and in places that many people can see. According to epidemiologic data and grantee location, we were able to determine which areas are in need of promoting healthy youth development, to delay the onset of sexual activity in younger youth. In addition, evidence-informed programs that reach parents of youth 10-19, and adult mentors that interact and/or work with youth, and target accordingly (using the Metro Transit garages & bus/light rail lines). Intersection provided a price quote (attached) that met our budget and covered these advertising needs. This type of partnership addresses the need to reach a broad audience. Additionally, COVID-19 precautions have made physical advertisements more challenging. Due to the presence of advertisements not only inside buses and light rail trains, but on the outside of buses and at public platforms/stations, there’s a possibility to get prevention messages physically in front of groups of people. Intersection is the sole source provider for advertising with Metro Transit. Intersection will also supply reach and impression data based on their market strategy and surveillance.

MDH initially contacted Metro Transit to provide these services. Metro Transit referred us to Intersection Media LLC because it is the sole source provider for advertising with Metro Transit.
