Diabetes and Heart Health Communications Campaign
{Empty}
From 2022 to 2023, MDH worked with Russell Herder, a marketing firm in Minneapolis, and three community organizations (CLUES, Hue-MAN and Lao Assistance Center of Minnesota) to co-create three individual communications campaigns that help promote heart health and diabetes prevention and management through behavior change, empowerment, and skills building.

The campaign focused on moving individuals through the contemplation and preparation stages of change and supported individuals to take simple steps for small lifestyle changes.

Russell Herder coordinated the projects and helped guide the creative side of the campaign and material development. They provided graphic design and video expertise and worked with MDH and the community organizations to produce culturally relevant and community-driven materials (social media graphics, videos, flyers, etc.). the contractor was responsive and timely. There were difficult deadlines and often we were pressed for time for the extensive MDH review process, which proved challenging at times. However, RH was understanding and tried their best to accommodate our process.
High quality project management and design of materials. We had some challenges in clarifying roles and responsibilities because this was a new way of working with both local community partners and MDH, but the contractor did their best to keep everyone on track and share progress.
Cost was highly reasonable for the scope of work.
Overall, contractor's performance was good.
